Looking over shoulder

  By: Zach F on Nov. 16, 2025, 5:18 p.m.

Hi Tyler!

Somewhere in passing(which I can’t find anymore), you mentioned that spine extension in the followthrough is the same as looking back over your shoulder. Well, that one hit home, and I wanted to make sure I’m going about it in the right w…

Latest progress. You were correct; this ain’t the easiest one to train, but I’ve posted the feels that have led to what to me seems a goodly movement in the right direction. Is my interpretation correct?
I’ve found the video on connecting supination…

Re: TRS arm slider

Here’s a screen grab of their infomercial. The actual site doesn’t have a lot of goodies.

Seems to me like it wouldn’t guarantee the kind of lead shoulder IR through impact that would promote the trail arm inside movement, but it certainly couldn’t…

Re: Transition check?

  By: Zach F on Oct. 19, 2025, 7:18 a.m.

I love that quote, and I think you nailed the logic behind them ignoring shoulder dynamics.

The areas of my life where I’ve enjoyed the most training are piano performance and martial arts, so the idea that one cannot train a motion in its entirety…

So that’s a tricky question for me, because any breakthroughs I have come from circling back to things you say that I hear again from a place of deeper understanding. First I really must credit yours and Lawrence’s site revisions, because the AI sug…

Transition check?

  By: Zach F on Sept. 26, 2025, 1:53 p.m.

I’ve had some light bulbs. Is this the right idea?

TIA!

Zach

PS speed from lowest to highest to see possible breakdowns, and apologies for the camera angle being a little off to the right.

Thank you!!

Internal rotation of trail shoulder in backswing?

  By: Zach F on Sept. 26, 2025, 12:34 p.m.

Hi Tyler!
I was watching an analysis of Collin Morikawa’s golf swing and the instructor pointed to the internal rotation of his trail shoulder as one of the primary steepening agents in his backswing(along with his limited hip turn). That struck me,…

Fascial lines

  By: Zach F on Sept. 4, 2025, 8:29 p.m.

Throwing out a potential topic for a video or series:
Building awareness of fascial lines.

I must admit I’m very intrigued by this concept, and would appreciate any light you can shine on both the idea and its practical applications.

Thanks as alw…

Delivery and go check, pretty please

  By: Zach F on Sept. 1, 2025, 5:56 p.m.

I know my footwork could use a little cleaning up, but am I basically doing this correctly? Working on transition keeps sending me back to release and vice versa.

Thanks in advance!
Zach

Time flies

  By: Zach F on Aug. 21, 2025, 4:25 p.m.

Almost exactly 18 months ago I asked you to grade a cut stinger of mine from the beach, and you graciously humored me. I thought you might enjoy my latest attempt (your driver stinger video was immensely helpful). I included the original for compari…

Proximal to distal blues and the bug squish

Hi Tyler! This is in regard to the video topic you’d mentioned. I’m curious to hear your thoughts!

When is clubface most open?

  By: Zach F on Aug. 9, 2025, 8:19 a.m.

Mornin Tyler?

Practicing my tai chi and wondering- at which point in the swing the clubface is most open to the path?
I would expect some variance, but my guess is somewhere in the zorro loop, like the still shot here.

Thank you!
