Bracing before impact

Tyler,
Thank you for your answer regarding sequencing. I now have a question now about bracing. From the delivery position I feel if I pivot my sternum while keeping my right shoulder behind the toe line to impact I am bracing my upper body.Is this what you mean about shoulder bracing?
Thanks again,
John C

I refer to bracing as the idea of what you use to slow down the club. So in your example, the body position would lend itself more to bracing with the body vs bracing with the arms or shoulders. In my view, bracing with the whole body is a better approach than bracing with the arms and shoulders.

Specifically, I prefer bracing with the glutes, lats, abs, back muscles rather than bracing with the upper traps, deltoids, or biceps.

I hope that helps clear it up,

Tyler
