Swing Speed Training

I've been doing swing speed training using the Stack System for sometime now. While I had a couple of mph increase in my swing speed, I realised that my swing mechanics during my swing speed training is a little off from my usual swing. I have my club crossing the line, more early extension than usual and poor balance in the follow through especially during max intent swings. Would this be a problem if I continue like this or should I dial back my max intent swing speed to ensure better swing mechanics? Appreciate your advice.

Hi HB,
Yes, I have the controversial opinion that even during speed training you should have desirable form and keep swing problems in check. Across the line and early extension can both increase speed, but add extra demands on timing.
Looking at your swing, the across the line doesn't look too severe with the stack, but the early extension, hand depth change, and shaft angle change in transition look like things I would try to reign in before they become a problem in your regular swing.
My key takeaway: I believe, in golf, form matters, even during speed training.
Happy Golfing,
