Unable to motorcycle / wrist fully extended at top

Hi All, making my way through the stock tour swing book and practicing different drills.

One issue I'm having is when I get to the top of the back swing my trail wrist is fully extended (palm to the sky) and I have no room to continue extending/motorcycle on way down. Any guidance is appreciated.

Hi Stephen,

I had an extra busy start to the season but am finally getting a chance to catch up on the comments.

Here's a video I have on the topic, https://www.golfsmartacademy.com/golf-instruction/motorcycle-timing/

The quick summary is yes, it's okay to do the motorcycle movement to end the backswing instead of start the downswing. Frequently, golfers who do it to end the backswing need to monitor their ulnar deviation more than the flexion. But if you want more specific feedback, feel free to post a swing next time.

Happy Golfing,
Tyler
