Hi Magnus,

That's a common challenge. With the 9-3, it's easier to power the swing with the body, and it's easier to avoid body position issues. SInce you've already tried the wipe with aggression, we'll assume it's more of a position issue. So my first diagnostic would be to see what happens differently with a full swing. Do you get out of position in the backswing, if so how? Or are you in a good position but then struggle with transition getting you close to where you would be on the 9 to 3? Once you have that pinpointed, then you can focus on the next step of training.

Happy golfing,
Tyler

Struggling to Transfer Shaft Lean from Drills to Full Swing

Hi Tyler,
I've been struggling with scooping and a lack of shaft lean, and I've been working on the wipe using drills like the "supported wipe," "wipe with aggression," and "lead foot low point." While doing these drills, especially in 9-3 swings, I can achieve a very solid impact position with plenty of shaft lean.
However, when I try to apply it to a full swing, everything seems to break down.
Do you have any recommendations for exercises or concepts I should try?
