Hi Tyler, What muscles should I feel engaged in the downswing to combat an over the top and early extension pattern? Thanks.

That's a bit of a loaded question. If you want to post a video of your swing, I'll have a much better guess. There are a handful of reasons that golfers come over the top and what you feel depends mostly on what your pattern is now.
I think feels are helpful, but they should not be the thing we are chasing. The thing we are chasing are better match ups and positions. Feels usually last less than a week, where a concept or position checkpoint can be something that keeps working for weeks or months.
Also, some people feel stretches more than effort. Some people feel rhythms and timing more than positions. The feels are very individual. I've had back to back students working on the same drill and the same position describe their feel completely differently.
So if you want to post your swing, we can figure out which drills will help your brain find a good feel.
