I watched the door impact drill and got some very good contact on half shots ball rocketed off my 8 iron - what is best drill to promote this?

I am 71 yr old break 90 on occasion but I'm usually 95-100 on most days - when I am hitting it good, I don't know why and when I'm hitting it bad I don't know why - I have a Skytrak and just started hitting balls again and I am having contact issues…
