00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:05.060
This drill is object outside of your right leg. It's an oldie and kind of a
2
00:00:05.060 --> 00:00:09.880
goodie. If you sway, what ends up happening is your pelvis shifts to the
3
00:00:09.880 --> 00:00:14.360
right and you move to the outside of your foot. So placing an object like a
4
00:00:14.360 --> 00:00:18.600
shaft in the ground, you can even put your golf bag here. Just something that
5
00:00:18.600 --> 00:00:23.080
will give you a little bit of kind of a spatial barrier will prevent you from
6
00:00:23.080 --> 00:00:27.040
swaying and allow you to feel like you stay a little bit more centered over the
7
00:00:27.040 --> 00:00:31.600
golf ball. So I've just got the shaft in the ground with a little Tyler trainer
8
00:00:31.600 --> 00:00:32.080
.
9
00:00:32.080 --> 00:00:38.240
You'd be able to make back swings and if you sway, I can feel when my leg hits
10
00:00:38.240 --> 00:00:41.840
into it if I'm doing this slowly deliberately and paying attention to
11
00:00:41.840 --> 00:00:46.080
what I'm actually working on. If I rush through it and I just barely tap it, I
12
00:00:46.080 --> 00:00:50.680
may miss out on it. So be tough on yourself and don't set up with six
13
00:00:50.680 --> 00:00:55.880
inches of room between your leg. Get pretty close to it so that if you shift
14
00:00:55.880 --> 00:01:00.400
into it even a little bit, you'll be aware that you made that mistake. It'll
15
00:01:00.400 --> 00:01:04.600
help you create a little bit more centered pivot without the sway, which
16
00:01:04.600 --> 00:01:09.240
would help with solid contact and potentially distance.
