Should I keep hanging back?

Hi Tyler, and apologies for being so profuse this cycle, but your webinars got me cooking.

So, seeing the arc width graphs and re-examining the wipe move in greater detail and through the lens of arc width, I returned to the “hang back, wipe forward” drill and was able to not only make solid contact, but by adjusting the wipe I was able to produce both draws and cuts(the latter surprised me). I did this with what felt like the majority of my weight on my back foot through the strike, and have been able to produce what feels like a better flat spot from that “hanging back” position than I have in my normal move, even with my wedges. My question is, should I stay there?
Looking at the face on drill swing, the impact position looks pretty solid to me even though I’m perceiving my weight to be hanging back. I know I’ve been prone to slide; is it possible that the proper transition sequence feels like hanging back to me?

The last DTL was one where I went after the shot a little more enthusiastically and I notice that my weight naturally moved forward into the finish position. I’m going to keep messing around with this, but do you also think my “hang-back” actually looks better than my regular move?

As always, your input is appreciated.

Hoping you’re well,
Zach

This looks pretty good. I think if you could combo a little of the shoulder blade shallowing feel with this feel you'd really be on to something. I like your bracing better in the shoulder blade shallowing video. But the club is more in front of you with this one. So maybe combining the two feels? Yes, it's possible that a good sequence feels more like a hang back to you. The slide is better in this series. Just monitor that the hang back is the hips and not the upper body. I'm working on decoding that issue better. but this looks like it's on the right track.
