Hitting thin shots

I can’t figure out why some of my shots are thin. I see my legs buckle and the knees never touch in follow through. In the third video, it looks like the hips get way out front and the upper body hangs back hence the thin shot…..would this be considered a slide? Hip stall? Unsure, how to fix this.

Yes, if we look at the body position at impact and follow through, it has more of an axis tilt look. Not much of a slide (hip isn't passed the foot), but more of a hang back of the upper body. With an iron, we want to get the upper body more over the left hip to help with solid contact. You'll see with Rory or Brooks, the upper body is more over the belt buckle. Your shirt buttons are behind your right hip. (Likely cause of thin contact)

This video discusses it. https://www.golfsmartacademy.com/golf-instruction/feeling-weight-your-sit-bones/

In working on that, you'll often have to have a couple of complimentary ideas. Maybe not, but you should be open to the idea that getting your upper body more stacked might cause steeper contact and you'd have to add some shallow pieces (arms or scapulae) to balance it back out.

Happy golfing,
Tyler
