Lead Ankle Dorsiflexion

Hi Tyler
I have struggled with hip tilt and loss of posture on the backswing.
I have recently postulated that an increase in lead ankle dorsiflexion on the backswing would aid in proper hip tilt. There seems to be a dearth of information on this topic especially on the backswing. Do you have an information or thoughts on the ranges of motion and importance of lead ankle dorsiflexion in the backswing?

Thanks

You're right, it's not an area typically looked at. Commonly, lead ankle plantarflexion would help raise the lead heel and is associated with a longer backswing. But I looked at some graphs from AMM. I'm sure it's not 100% since it's on the shoe and not the foot, but the ankle sensor was pretty secure.

The first graph is someone who had quite a large amount of pelvis turn, the second was someone who restricted their turn a bit more. It looks like during the backswing, the larger turn has more dorsiflexion, so you might be on to something.
