One way to dial in your distance wedge is to focus on the follow-through.
You'll rarely see tour pros achieve a full wrap-around finish at the end of a wedge shot. Most of the time, they cruise into a nice balanced 3/4 finish. This is a good benchmark for analyzing if you are swinging too hard at your wedge shots. If you are struggling with the smooth force through impact, then focusing on your finish position could be a better option.
