Leapfrog is a classic game for working on dialing in your distance control
Leap frog is when you practice distance control by incrementally adding, or subtracting, a little distance from the previous shot. With bunkers, controlling distance is easiest if you alter a few variables. The options are:
- length of swing
- effort/intensity
- loft
- sand entry point

00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:07.200
This drill is the bunker leapfrog.
2
00:00:07.200 --> 00:00:12.360
So leapfrog is one of my favorite systems for calibrating distance control or
3
00:00:12.360 --> 00:00:12.360
building
4
00:00:12.360 --> 00:00:14.400
some distance control awareness.
5
00:00:14.400 --> 00:00:18.120
To do it, you just need some distance targets as references.
6
00:00:18.120 --> 00:00:23.010
So here we've got the purple is at 15 yards or 15 paces from right about here
7
00:00:23.010 --> 00:00:24.240
in the bunker.
8
00:00:24.240 --> 00:00:29.450
The blue is 30 and then I've got the flags we're already here, so we've got the
9
00:00:29.450 --> 00:00:29.520
flag
10
00:00:29.520 --> 00:00:32.240
at 10 and then the flag at 22.
11
00:00:32.240 --> 00:00:35.290
So I'm going to hit kind of in between them and I'm going to pay attention to
12
00:00:35.290 --> 00:00:35.720
where the
13
00:00:35.720 --> 00:00:37.600
ball is landing.
14
00:00:37.600 --> 00:00:42.070
Leapfrog, I can either try to hit each one a little bit further or try to leap
15
00:00:42.070 --> 00:00:43.080
frog backward
16
00:00:43.080 --> 00:00:45.920
and try to hit each one a little bit shorter.
17
00:00:45.920 --> 00:00:50.480
Now when it comes to the bunker play, with the full swing or with the distance
18
00:00:50.480 --> 00:00:51.000
wedges,
19
00:00:51.000 --> 00:00:57.760
I want your major mechanism for controlling distance to be the length of swing.
20
00:00:57.760 --> 00:01:01.240
With the bunker shot, I'm okay with experimenting with a couple different tem
21
00:01:01.240 --> 00:01:01.640
pos.
22
00:01:01.640 --> 00:01:07.440
I like to have kind of a slow, medium and a hard tempo because it's hard to
23
00:01:07.440 --> 00:01:08.200
change the
24
00:01:08.200 --> 00:01:10.920
length of swing dramatically.
25
00:01:10.920 --> 00:01:16.130
So we can experiment with changing the length of swing a little bit, but what I
26
00:01:16.130 --> 00:01:16.760
often see
27
00:01:16.760 --> 00:01:21.040
is a lot of bad bunker players have too short of a swing.
28
00:01:21.040 --> 00:01:27.670
The sand wedge is heavy to help us with gaining some momentum so that we can
29
00:01:27.670 --> 00:01:29.680
kind of freely
30
00:01:29.680 --> 00:01:33.690
release it down at the bottom and get the club head to pass the sand and not
31
00:01:33.690 --> 00:01:34.320
get stuck
32
00:01:34.320 --> 00:01:35.440
in the sand.
33
00:01:35.440 --> 00:01:39.640
When you take a shorter swing, you might have noticed in your full swing nine
34
00:01:39.640 --> 00:01:40.400
to threes,
35
00:01:40.400 --> 00:01:44.010
it's really easy to kind of drag the handle forward and get more shaft lean,
36
00:01:44.010 --> 00:01:44.560
which is
37
00:01:44.560 --> 00:01:46.200
good for the full swing.
38
00:01:46.200 --> 00:01:50.760
But on this bunker shot, we want to have the club head pass the handle down at
39
00:01:50.760 --> 00:01:51.560
the bottom
40
00:01:51.560 --> 00:01:52.560
of the swing.
41
00:01:52.560 --> 00:01:55.320
That's easier to accomplish when you have a longer swing.
42
00:01:55.320 --> 00:01:59.880
So we're going to do some leapfrog and we're going to focus on playing around
43
00:01:59.880 --> 00:02:00.680
with tempo
44
00:02:00.680 --> 00:02:04.640
as our first mechanism and then length of swing as our second.
45
00:02:04.640 --> 00:02:10.430
So first one, we're going to do just a, we're going to aim for that 10 yard
46
00:02:10.430 --> 00:02:11.120
shot.
47
00:02:11.120 --> 00:02:16.480
So we're going to get into our good setup position, butterfly grip, and then sl
48
00:02:16.480 --> 00:02:16.920
ittle
49
00:02:16.920 --> 00:02:22.130
on the slower, slower side so that landed pretty close next to the flag as far
50
00:02:22.130 --> 00:02:22.960
as distance
51
00:02:22.960 --> 00:02:24.480
goes.
52
00:02:24.480 --> 00:02:29.880
So then next one, we're going to do roughly the same length swing and just a
53
00:02:29.880 --> 00:02:30.800
little bit
54
00:02:30.800 --> 00:02:35.160
kind of more aggressive or faster tempo.
55
00:02:35.160 --> 00:02:39.510
So little faster tempo there and that was closer to my normal so that went
56
00:02:39.510 --> 00:02:41.420
about 15 yards.
57
00:02:41.420 --> 00:02:45.480
That's typically about as hard as I like to swing.
58
00:02:45.480 --> 00:02:48.810
So if I had to hit it further, I would grab one of my other clubs, but for
59
00:02:48.810 --> 00:02:49.520
simplicity
60
00:02:49.520 --> 00:02:55.080
of this video, we'll try swinging a little bit harder at my, my 58.
61
00:02:55.080 --> 00:02:58.770
So we have to make sure that when we swing hard, we don't start losing our
62
00:02:58.770 --> 00:02:59.760
stack centers.
63
00:02:59.760 --> 00:03:03.520
That's one of fundamental number one for helping us with solid contact.
64
00:03:03.520 --> 00:03:07.080
And we don't want to make, we don't want to get too much shaft lean because
65
00:03:07.080 --> 00:03:08.040
that helps,
66
00:03:08.040 --> 00:03:11.080
or that prevents us from using the bounce and getting depth control.
67
00:03:11.080 --> 00:03:14.200
That's also part of fundamental number one.
68
00:03:14.200 --> 00:03:17.620
So we're going to try to swing a little bigger, but try to get kind of the same
69
00:03:17.620 --> 00:03:18.320
, or sorry,
70
00:03:18.320 --> 00:03:22.660
a little faster, but we're going to try to get some of the same impact align
71
00:03:22.660 --> 00:03:23.320
ments.
72
00:03:23.320 --> 00:03:27.640
So we're going to go up.
73
00:03:27.640 --> 00:03:30.480
And there we got to about 22 yards.
74
00:03:30.480 --> 00:03:34.610
So there I just felt like there was a little extra speed early on and then
75
00:03:34.610 --> 00:03:35.520
still had kind
76
00:03:35.520 --> 00:03:38.440
of that nice coasting on the way through.
77
00:03:38.440 --> 00:03:41.920
So that's using tempo in order to influence distance.
78
00:03:41.920 --> 00:03:45.460
The second version we're going to try to do is by using the length of swing to
79
00:03:45.460 --> 00:03:46.040
control
80
00:03:46.040 --> 00:03:47.040
distance.
81
00:03:47.040 --> 00:03:48.040
Okay.
82
00:03:48.040 --> 00:03:49.040
You'll notice that I re-rigged the surface.
83
00:03:49.040 --> 00:03:52.820
I got limited surface here for interacting with the cameras and I always
84
00:03:52.820 --> 00:03:54.120
recommend practicing
85
00:03:54.120 --> 00:03:59.040
your bunkers from good lies until you get a certain level of proficiency.
86
00:03:59.040 --> 00:04:03.120
So we took the time to just kind of smooth it out, put the lines back in.
87
00:04:03.120 --> 00:04:09.750
Now the three heights we're going to do are going to be only varying the club
88
00:04:09.750 --> 00:04:10.680
about six
89
00:04:10.680 --> 00:04:12.200
inches or a foot.
90
00:04:12.200 --> 00:04:16.530
Not quite as dramatic as when we're doing the distance wedge swings where the
91
00:04:16.530 --> 00:04:17.360
difference
92
00:04:17.360 --> 00:04:22.120
in each one is 15 degrees or a couple feet.
93
00:04:22.120 --> 00:04:26.460
Okay, so we're going to go for the shorter one and we're going to try to keep
94
00:04:26.460 --> 00:04:27.040
the same
95
00:04:27.040 --> 00:04:29.120
tempo in all these swings.
96
00:04:29.120 --> 00:04:36.280
So a little bit shorter and that was pretty close to the, let's say that was
97
00:04:36.280 --> 00:04:37.280
about eight,
98
00:04:37.280 --> 00:04:42.440
so maybe just a touch shy of the ten yard shot.
99
00:04:42.440 --> 00:04:46.350
Now we're going to try to keep the same tempo and go a little bit bigger,
100
00:04:46.350 --> 00:04:47.240
hopefully not
101
00:04:47.240 --> 00:04:50.960
too much faster, a little bit bigger.
102
00:04:50.960 --> 00:04:55.120
I kind of felt like I slowed that down.
103
00:04:55.120 --> 00:04:58.820
It went a little bit further, only about 12, so I was short, but part of that
104
00:04:58.820 --> 00:04:59.480
was contact.
105
00:04:59.480 --> 00:05:03.840
I can now see here's where the line was and that hit an inch behind the golf
106
00:05:03.840 --> 00:05:04.440
ball.
107
00:05:04.440 --> 00:05:09.880
So we'll have to review that and see why we messed up contact on that one.
108
00:05:09.880 --> 00:05:13.200
So third one, now we're going to do our longer swing.
109
00:05:13.200 --> 00:05:18.340
We're now kind of hitting out of a little bit of a hole, but we'll fight
110
00:05:18.340 --> 00:05:18.880
through it.
111
00:05:18.880 --> 00:05:21.440
You can't always have perfect practice.
112
00:05:21.440 --> 00:05:26.970
Okay, so now we're going to try to go for the longer swing, try to get it to
113
00:05:26.970 --> 00:05:28.040
that 20
114
00:05:28.040 --> 00:05:30.240
yard flag target.
115
00:05:30.240 --> 00:05:40.760
So longer swing, butterfly grip, lean left, longer swing, about 18 yards.
116
00:05:40.760 --> 00:05:46.990
So not too bad again, typically with this grind on this 58, I have a hard time
117
00:05:46.990 --> 00:05:47.720
getting
118
00:05:47.720 --> 00:05:50.200
it much further than 20 yards.
119
00:05:50.200 --> 00:05:54.730
So if I have a, without changing my contact location, getting my contact really
120
00:05:54.730 --> 00:05:55.160
close
121
00:05:55.160 --> 00:05:58.520
to the golf ball, which for me right now is pretty risky.
122
00:05:58.520 --> 00:06:02.800
So I tend to err on changing target or changing clubs.
123
00:06:02.800 --> 00:06:06.160
I like to go from my 58 to my 54.
124
00:06:06.160 --> 00:06:10.400
I can usually add a couple of paces to each one of those, so I can get my full
125
00:06:10.400 --> 00:06:11.280
54 closer
126
00:06:11.280 --> 00:06:12.360
to 25.
127
00:06:12.360 --> 00:06:16.480
And then if I need to go all the way to 30, then I go down to my gap wedge or
128
00:06:16.480 --> 00:06:17.360
my 50.
129
00:06:17.360 --> 00:06:22.570
So figuring out how to control your leapfrog by either changing your tempo,
130
00:06:22.570 --> 00:06:23.160
changing your
131
00:06:23.160 --> 00:06:24.640
length of swing.
132
00:06:24.640 --> 00:06:29.080
The last one you can experiment with is controlling the face angle or the loft.
133
00:06:29.080 --> 00:06:33.030
But sometimes, especially if you're more of a novice golfer, that one's a
134
00:06:33.030 --> 00:06:34.040
little risky.
135
00:06:34.040 --> 00:06:35.760
So I would start with these two.
136
00:06:35.760 --> 00:06:39.910
If these, if you run into a barrier, then you can experiment with changing the
137
00:06:39.910 --> 00:06:40.440
loft.
138
00:06:40.440 --> 00:06:43.090
But with all of your bunker shots, all of your wedge play, you want to
139
00:06:43.090 --> 00:06:43.760
establish some
140
00:06:43.760 --> 00:06:45.720
baselines that'll help you with your touch.
141
00:06:45.720 --> 00:06:49.940
I recommend with the bunkers that you establish a baseline of about the 9 or
142
00:06:49.940 --> 00:06:50.960
the chest height
143
00:06:50.960 --> 00:06:54.880
or the 9 o'clock swing with good tempo should be somewhere around 50 to 20
144
00:06:54.880 --> 00:06:55.400
yards.
145
00:06:55.400 --> 00:06:59.600
That's a great starting point for developing your distance control with your
146
00:06:59.600 --> 00:07:00.520
bunker game.
147
00:07:00.520 --> 00:07:01.520
All right.
148
00:07:01.520 --> 00:07:08.200
Super risky, super high, long and aggressive.
149
00:07:08.200 --> 00:07:10.160
Catch it right next to the ball.
150
00:07:10.160 --> 00:07:15.480
There's almost no way I'm hitting that on the course right now.
151
00:07:15.480 --> 00:07:25.480
[BLANK_AUDIO]
1
00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:07.200
This drill is the bunker leapfrog.
2
00:00:07.200 --> 00:00:12.360
So leapfrog is one of my favorite systems for calibrating distance control or
3
00:00:12.360 --> 00:00:12.360
building
4
00:00:12.360 --> 00:00:14.400
some distance control awareness.
5
00:00:14.400 --> 00:00:18.120
To do it, you just need some distance targets as references.
6
00:00:18.120 --> 00:00:23.010
So here we've got the purple is at 15 yards or 15 paces from right about here
7
00:00:23.010 --> 00:00:24.240
in the bunker.
8
00:00:24.240 --> 00:00:29.450
The blue is 30 and then I've got the flags we're already here, so we've got the
9
00:00:29.450 --> 00:00:29.520
flag
10
00:00:29.520 --> 00:00:32.240
at 10 and then the flag at 22.
11
00:00:32.240 --> 00:00:35.290
So I'm going to hit kind of in between them and I'm going to pay attention to
12
00:00:35.290 --> 00:00:35.720
where the
13
00:00:35.720 --> 00:00:37.600
ball is landing.
14
00:00:37.600 --> 00:00:42.070
Leapfrog, I can either try to hit each one a little bit further or try to leap
15
00:00:42.070 --> 00:00:43.080
frog backward
16
00:00:43.080 --> 00:00:45.920
and try to hit each one a little bit shorter.
17
00:00:45.920 --> 00:00:50.480
Now when it comes to the bunker play, with the full swing or with the distance
18
00:00:50.480 --> 00:00:51.000
wedges,
19
00:00:51.000 --> 00:00:57.760
I want your major mechanism for controlling distance to be the length of swing.
20
00:00:57.760 --> 00:01:01.240
With the bunker shot, I'm okay with experimenting with a couple different tem
21
00:01:01.240 --> 00:01:01.640

22
00:01:01.640 --> 00:01:07.440
I like to have kind of a slow, medium and a hard tempo because it's hard to
23
00:01:07.440 --> 00:01:08.200
change the
24
00:01:08.200 --> 00:01:10.920
length of swing dramatically.
25
00:01:10.920 --> 00:01:16.130
So we can experiment with changing the length of swing a little bit, but what I
26
00:01:16.130 --> 00:01:16.760
often see
27
00:01:16.760 --> 00:01:21.040
is a lot of bad bunker players have too short of a swing.
28
00:01:21.040 --> 00:01:27.670
The sand wedge is heavy to help us with gaining some momentum so that we can
29
00:01:27.670 --> 00:01:29.680
kind of freely
30
00:01:29.680 --> 00:01:33.690
release it down at the bottom and get the club head to pass the sand and not
31
00:01:33.690 --> 00:01:34.320
get stuck
32
00:01:34.320 --> 00:01:35.440
in the sand.
33
00:01:35.440 --> 00:01:39.640
When you take a shorter swing, you might have noticed in your full swing nine
34
00:01:39.640 --> 00:01:40.400
to threes,
35
00:01:40.400 --> 00:01:44.010
it's really easy to kind of drag the handle forward and get more shaft lean,
36
00:01:44.010 --> 00:01:44.560
which is
37
00:01:44.560 --> 00:01:46.200
good for the full swing.
38
00:01:46.200 --> 00:01:50.760
But on this bunker shot, we want to have the club head pass the handle down at
39
00:01:50.760 --> 00:01:51.560
the bottom
40
00:01:51.560 --> 00:01:52.560
of the swing.
41
00:01:52.560 --> 00:01:55.320
That's easier to accomplish when you have a longer swing.
42
00:01:55.320 --> 00:01:59.880
So we're going to do some leapfrog and we're going to focus on playing around
43
00:01:59.880 --> 00:02:00.680
with tempo
44
00:02:00.680 --> 00:02:04.640
as our first mechanism and then length of swing as our second.
45
00:02:04.640 --> 00:02:10.430
So first one, we're going to do just a, we're going to aim for that 10 yard
46
00:02:10.430 --> 00:02:11.120
shot.
47
00:02:11.120 --> 00:02:16.480
So we're going to get into our good setup position, butterfly grip, and then sl
48
00:02:16.480 --> 00:02:16.920
ittle
49
00:02:16.920 --> 00:02:22.130
on the slower, slower side so that landed pretty close next to the flag as far
50
00:02:22.130 --> 00:02:22.960
as distance
51
00:02:22.960 --> 00:02:24.480
goes.
52
00:02:24.480 --> 00:02:29.880
So then next one, we're going to do roughly the same length swing and just a
53
00:02:29.880 --> 00:02:30.800
little bit
54
00:02:30.800 --> 00:02:35.160
kind of more aggressive or faster tempo.
55
00:02:35.160 --> 00:02:39.510
So little faster tempo there and that was closer to my normal so that went
56
00:02:39.510 --> 00:02:41.420
about 15 yards.
57
00:02:41.420 --> 00:02:45.480
That's typically about as hard as I like to swing.
58
00:02:45.480 --> 00:02:48.810
So if I had to hit it further, I would grab one of my other clubs, but for
59
00:02:48.810 --> 00:02:49.520
simplicity
60
00:02:49.520 --> 00:02:55.080
of this video, we'll try swinging a little bit harder at my, my 58.
61
00:02:55.080 --> 00:02:58.770
So we have to make sure that when we swing hard, we don't start losing our
62
00:02:58.770 --> 00:02:59.760
stack centers.
63
00:02:59.760 --> 00:03:03.520
That's one of fundamental number one for helping us with solid contact.
64
00:03:03.520 --> 00:03:07.080
And we don't want to make, we don't want to get too much shaft lean because
65
00:03:07.080 --> 00:03:08.040
that helps,
66
00:03:08.040 --> 00:03:11.080
or that prevents us from using the bounce and getting depth control.
67
00:03:11.080 --> 00:03:14.200
That's also part of fundamental number one.
68
00:03:14.200 --> 00:03:17.620
So we're going to try to swing a little bigger, but try to get kind of the same
69
00:03:17.620 --> 00:03:18.320
, or sorry,
70
00:03:18.320 --> 00:03:22.660
a little faster, but we're going to try to get some of the same impact align
71
00:03:22.660 --> 00:03:23.320
ments.
72
00:03:23.320 --> 00:03:27.640
So we're going to go up.
73
00:03:27.640 --> 00:03:30.480
And there we got to about 22 yards.
74
00:03:30.480 --> 00:03:34.610
So there I just felt like there was a little extra speed early on and then
75
00:03:34.610 --> 00:03:35.520
still had kind
76
00:03:35.520 --> 00:03:38.440
of that nice coasting on the way through.
77
00:03:38.440 --> 00:03:41.920
So that's using tempo in order to influence distance.
78
00:03:41.920 --> 00:03:45.460
The second version we're going to try to do is by using the length of swing to
79
00:03:45.460 --> 00:03:46.040
control
80
00:03:46.040 --> 00:03:47.040
distance.
81
00:03:47.040 --> 00:03:48.040
Okay.
82
00:03:48.040 --> 00:03:49.040
You'll notice that I re-rigged the surface.
83
00:03:49.040 --> 00:03:52.820
I got limited surface here for interacting with the cameras and I always
84
00:03:52.820 --> 00:03:54.120
recommend practicing
85
00:03:54.120 --> 00:03:59.040
your bunkers from good lies until you get a certain level of proficiency.
86
00:03:59.040 --> 00:04:03.120
So we took the time to just kind of smooth it out, put the lines back in.
87
00:04:03.120 --> 00:04:09.750
Now the three heights we're going to do are going to be only varying the club
88
00:04:09.750 --> 00:04:10.680
about six
89
00:04:10.680 --> 00:04:12.200
inches or a foot.
90
00:04:12.200 --> 00:04:16.530
Not quite as dramatic as when we're doing the distance wedge swings where the
91
00:04:16.530 --> 00:04:17.360
difference
92
00:04:17.360 --> 00:04:22.120
in each one is 15 degrees or a couple feet.
93
00:04:22.120 --> 00:04:26.460
Okay, so we're going to go for the shorter one and we're going to try to keep
94
00:04:26.460 --> 00:04:27.040
the same
95
00:04:27.040 --> 00:04:29.120
tempo in all these swings.
96
00:04:29.120 --> 00:04:36.280
So a little bit shorter and that was pretty close to the, let's say that was
97
00:04:36.280 --> 00:04:37.280
about eight,
98
00:04:37.280 --> 00:04:42.440
so maybe just a touch shy of the ten yard shot.
99
00:04:42.440 --> 00:04:46.350
Now we're going to try to keep the same tempo and go a little bit bigger,
100
00:04:46.350 --> 00:04:47.240
hopefully not
101
00:04:47.240 --> 00:04:50.960
too much faster, a little bit bigger.
102
00:04:50.960 --> 00:04:55.120
I kind of felt like I slowed that down.
103
00:04:55.120 --> 00:04:58.820
It went a little bit further, only about 12, so I was short, but part of that
104
00:04:58.820 --> 00:04:59.480
was contact.
105
00:04:59.480 --> 00:05:03.840
I can now see here's where the line was and that hit an inch behind the golf
106
00:05:03.840 --> 00:05:04.440
ball.
107
00:05:04.440 --> 00:05:09.880
So we'll have to review that and see why we messed up contact on that one.
108
00:05:09.880 --> 00:05:13.200
So third one, now we're going to do our longer swing.
109
00:05:13.200 --> 00:05:18.340
We're now kind of hitting out of a little bit of a hole, but we'll fight
110
00:05:18.340 --> 00:05:18.880
through it.
111
00:05:18.880 --> 00:05:21.440
You can't always have perfect practice.
112
00:05:21.440 --> 00:05:26.970
Okay, so now we're going to try to go for the longer swing, try to get it to
113
00:05:26.970 --> 00:05:28.040
that 20
114
00:05:28.040 --> 00:05:30.240
yard flag target.
115
00:05:30.240 --> 00:05:40.760
So longer swing, butterfly grip, lean left, longer swing, about 18 yards.
116
00:05:40.760 --> 00:05:46.990
So not too bad again, typically with this grind on this 58, I have a hard time
117
00:05:46.990 --> 00:05:47.720
getting
118
00:05:47.720 --> 00:05:50.200
it much further than 20 yards.
119
00:05:50.200 --> 00:05:54.730
So if I have a, without changing my contact location, getting my contact really
120
00:05:54.730 --> 00:05:55.160
close
121
00:05:55.160 --> 00:05:58.520
to the golf ball, which for me right now is pretty risky.
122
00:05:58.520 --> 00:06:02.800
So I tend to err on changing target or changing clubs.
123
00:06:02.800 --> 00:06:06.160
I like to go from my 58 to my 54.
124
00:06:06.160 --> 00:06:10.400
I can usually add a couple of paces to each one of those, so I can get my full
125
00:06:10.400 --> 00:06:11.280
54 closer
126
00:06:11.280 --> 00:06:12.360
to 25.
127
00:06:12.360 --> 00:06:16.480
And then if I need to go all the way to 30, then I go down to my gap wedge or
128
00:06:16.480 --> 00:06:17.360
my 50.
129
00:06:17.360 --> 00:06:22.570
So figuring out how to control your leapfrog by either changing your tempo,
130
00:06:22.570 --> 00:06:23.160
changing your
131
00:06:23.160 --> 00:06:24.640
length of swing.
132
00:06:24.640 --> 00:06:29.080
The last one you can experiment with is controlling the face angle or the loft.
133
00:06:29.080 --> 00:06:33.030
But sometimes, especially if you're more of a novice golfer, that one's a
134
00:06:33.030 --> 00:06:34.040
little risky.
135
00:06:34.040 --> 00:06:35.760
So I would start with these two.
136
00:06:35.760 --> 00:06:39.910
If these, if you run into a barrier, then you can experiment with changing the
137
00:06:39.910 --> 00:06:40.440
loft.
138
00:06:40.440 --> 00:06:43.090
But with all of your bunker shots, all of your wedge play, you want to
139
00:06:43.090 --> 00:06:43.760
establish some
140
00:06:43.760 --> 00:06:45.720
baselines that'll help you with your touch.
141
00:06:45.720 --> 00:06:49.940
I recommend with the bunkers that you establish a baseline of about the 9 or
142
00:06:49.940 --> 00:06:50.960
the chest height
143
00:06:50.960 --> 00:06:54.880
or the 9 o'clock swing with good tempo should be somewhere around 50 to 20
144
00:06:54.880 --> 00:06:55.400
yards.
145
00:06:55.400 --> 00:06:59.600
That's a great starting point for developing your distance control with your
146
00:06:59.600 --> 00:07:00.520
bunker game.
147
00:07:00.520 --> 00:07:01.520
All right.
148
00:07:01.520 --> 00:07:08.200
Super risky, super high, long and aggressive.
149
00:07:08.200 --> 00:07:10.160
Catch it right next to the ball.
150
00:07:10.160 --> 00:07:15.480
There's almost no way I'm hitting that on the course right now.
151
00:07:15.480 --> 00:07:25.480
