00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:07.600
Welcome to the Build My Stock Swing program.
2
00:00:07.600 --> 00:00:11.760
So in this program, we're going to cover all the big pieces of how you can
3
00:00:11.760 --> 00:00:12.880
build your swing.
4
00:00:12.880 --> 00:00:16.720
Now, Jack Nicholas had a quote that I love where he said that good golfers end
5
00:00:16.720 --> 00:00:17.280
up with
6
00:00:17.280 --> 00:00:20.640
three to five keys that make their swing work.
7
00:00:20.640 --> 00:00:24.800
And when their game is off, it's usually one of those keys.
8
00:00:24.800 --> 00:00:29.010
Or to a lesser extent, when each player is getting warmed up, they're checking
9
00:00:29.010 --> 00:00:29.280
in on
10
00:00:29.280 --> 00:00:30.280
their keys.
11
00:00:30.280 --> 00:00:33.760
Let's use some of the golf cliches, like, "Okay, I've got to keep my head down,
12
00:00:33.760 --> 00:00:33.840
keep
13
00:00:33.840 --> 00:00:36.800
my arms straight, and swing smooth."
14
00:00:36.800 --> 00:00:40.680
Well, maybe one day, I have to focus more on keep my head down.
15
00:00:40.680 --> 00:00:42.560
Another day, I have to focus more on swing smooth.
16
00:00:42.560 --> 00:00:45.760
But when I do all of those pieces, I hit the ball great.
17
00:00:45.760 --> 00:00:51.230
Well, in the Build My Stock Swing program, we're going to go through a way of
18
00:00:51.230 --> 00:00:52.000
learning
19
00:00:52.000 --> 00:00:55.750
about the golf swing that's likely going to expose you to a lot of what your
20
00:00:55.750 --> 00:00:56.320
key areas
21
00:00:56.320 --> 00:00:58.680
are going to be, or what your keys will be.
22
00:00:58.680 --> 00:01:02.680
Now, instead of just doing it by kind of memorizing, "Hey, here's the takeaway,
23
00:01:02.680 --> 00:01:03.120
here's the back
24
00:01:03.120 --> 00:01:07.200
swing," we're going to look at it from more of a skill-based approach.
25
00:01:07.200 --> 00:01:11.620
So we're going to look at the requirements of what do I need the club to do and
26
00:01:11.620 --> 00:01:12.120
how can
27
00:01:12.120 --> 00:01:13.200
the body do it?
28
00:01:13.200 --> 00:01:17.540
And so oftentimes, this approach gets you to your solutions and helps you
29
00:01:17.540 --> 00:01:18.200
figure out
30
00:01:18.200 --> 00:01:21.880
your keys faster than if you were to just learn it sequentially.
31
00:01:21.880 --> 00:01:26.360
So the three big buckets are we want to hit the ball solid, we want to hit the
32
00:01:26.360 --> 00:01:27.480
ball straight,
33
00:01:27.480 --> 00:01:30.600
or at least control the curve, and we want to hit the ball far.
34
00:01:30.600 --> 00:01:35.020
Now, hitting the ball far could be how far can I hit it, you know, maximizing,
35
00:01:35.020 --> 00:01:35.520
or it could
36
00:01:35.520 --> 00:01:40.900
be related more to distance control and predicting how far I'm going to be able
37
00:01:40.900 --> 00:01:42.200
to hit it.
38
00:01:42.200 --> 00:01:47.700
But we can boil down solid contact to the swing arc and the bottom of the swing
39
00:01:47.700 --> 00:01:48.440
, which
40
00:01:48.440 --> 00:01:50.880
we call low point control.
41
00:01:50.880 --> 00:01:55.810
We can boil down hitting the ball straight to controlling the face and the path
42
00:01:55.810 --> 00:01:57.160
of relationship.
43
00:01:57.160 --> 00:02:03.710
We can boil down hitting the ball far to your sequencing, or your lag, or your
44
00:02:03.710 --> 00:02:04.720
shaft lean.
45
00:02:04.720 --> 00:02:07.000
But these three play off of each other.
46
00:02:07.000 --> 00:02:10.420
So we're going to go in this order because sometimes when you try to hit it
47
00:02:10.420 --> 00:02:11.160
straighter,
48
00:02:11.160 --> 00:02:12.240
you end up losing contact.
49
00:02:12.240 --> 00:02:16.240
So I want you to already know how to improve your contact.
50
00:02:16.240 --> 00:02:20.160
Or when you start trying to hit it further, it might start going offline, or
51
00:02:20.160 --> 00:02:20.760
you might
52
00:02:20.760 --> 00:02:21.760
lose contact.
53
00:02:21.760 --> 00:02:23.520
So I want you to have those skills first.
54
00:02:23.520 --> 00:02:26.400
Now because they play off of each other in this program, we're going to go
55
00:02:26.400 --> 00:02:27.400
through it
56
00:02:27.400 --> 00:02:28.400
in layers.
57
00:02:28.400 --> 00:02:31.880
So we're going to work on low point and then hitting the ball straight and then
58
00:02:31.880 --> 00:02:32.320
hitting
59
00:02:32.320 --> 00:02:33.880
the ball far.
60
00:02:33.880 --> 00:02:36.360
We're going to work on hitting different clubs.
61
00:02:36.360 --> 00:02:39.420
And then we're going to revisit it because once you understand the basics, it
62
00:02:39.420 --> 00:02:40.080
'll be easier
63
00:02:40.080 --> 00:02:42.240
to layer in a few more details.
64
00:02:42.240 --> 00:02:47.440
By doing this, I think you'll really kind of understand and own your own golf
65
00:02:47.440 --> 00:02:48.080
swing.
66
00:02:48.080 --> 00:02:52.960
That's why we call this the Build My Stock Tour Swing Program.
67
00:02:52.960 --> 00:02:58.720
But let's say you're working on low point control and you still even after you
68
00:02:58.720 --> 00:02:59.280
've gone
69
00:02:59.280 --> 00:03:04.200
through the program, you're having a few issues with maybe thin contact.
70
00:03:04.200 --> 00:03:09.900
Well now, while we have a lot of information in this program, it doesn't cover
71
00:03:09.900 --> 00:03:11.040
everything.
72
00:03:11.040 --> 00:03:15.380
So once you've gone through this program once, then all the other videos on the
73
00:03:15.380 --> 00:03:15.880
site will
74
00:03:15.880 --> 00:03:17.080
make more sense.
75
00:03:17.080 --> 00:03:20.120
You'll see how the videos might help you hit the ball more solid.
76
00:03:20.120 --> 00:03:22.280
They might help you hit the ball more straight.
77
00:03:22.280 --> 00:03:26.700
They might help you solve that one issue that's causing you to have the
78
00:03:26.700 --> 00:03:27.880
annoying problem
79
00:03:27.880 --> 00:03:29.360
that you're trying to get rid of.
80
00:03:29.360 --> 00:03:31.000
So work through this program.
81
00:03:31.000 --> 00:03:35.210
You'll understand all the big buckets and you'll be that much closer to
82
00:03:35.210 --> 00:03:35.920
becoming your
83
00:03:35.920 --> 00:03:40.960
own coach once you understand your few swing keys and you learn to really own
84
00:03:40.960 --> 00:03:41.560
them and
85
00:03:41.560 --> 00:03:45.000
learn how to practice training them effectively.
86
00:03:45.000 --> 00:03:48.680
So while we're going through this program, keep this framework in mind as you
87
00:03:48.680 --> 00:03:49.220
're going
88
00:03:49.220 --> 00:03:51.160
through the big pieces.
89
00:03:51.160 --> 00:03:55.670
If you recognize that one area is just super important for you, make a mental
90
00:03:55.670 --> 00:03:56.440
note of it
91
00:03:56.440 --> 00:04:00.680
and when you're done with the program, if you haven't had a complete mastery of
92
00:04:00.680 --> 00:04:01.040
it,
93
00:04:01.040 --> 00:04:03.800
then check out the videos on the site related to it.
94
00:04:03.800 --> 00:04:06.520
That's how you're ultimately going to become your own coach.
95
00:04:06.520 --> 00:04:08.160
So keep it up.
96
00:04:08.160 --> 00:04:09.640
Smart golfers are happy golfers.
1
00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:07.600
Welcome to the Build My Stock Swing program.
2
00:00:07.600 --> 00:00:11.760
So in this program, we're going to cover all the big pieces of how you can
3
00:00:11.760 --> 00:00:12.880
build your swing.
4
00:00:12.880 --> 00:00:16.720
Now, Jack Nicholas had a quote that I love where he said that good golfers end
5
00:00:16.720 --> 00:00:17.280
up with
6
00:00:17.280 --> 00:00:20.640
three to five keys that make their swing work.
7
00:00:20.640 --> 00:00:24.800
And when their game is off, it's usually one of those keys.
8
00:00:24.800 --> 00:00:29.010
Or to a lesser extent, when each player is getting warmed up, they're checking
9
00:00:29.010 --> 00:00:29.280
in on
10
00:00:29.280 --> 00:00:30.280
their keys.
11
00:00:30.280 --> 00:00:33.760
Let's use some of the golf cliches, like, "Okay, I've got to keep my head down,
12
00:00:33.760 --> 00:00:33.840
keep
13
00:00:33.840 --> 00:00:36.800
my arms straight, and swing smooth."
14
00:00:36.800 --> 00:00:40.680
Well, maybe one day, I have to focus more on keep my head down.
15
00:00:40.680 --> 00:00:42.560
Another day, I have to focus more on swing smooth.
16
00:00:42.560 --> 00:00:45.760
But when I do all of those pieces, I hit the ball great.
17
00:00:45.760 --> 00:00:51.230
Well, in the Build My Stock Swing program, we're going to go through a way of
18
00:00:51.230 --> 00:00:52.000
learning
19
00:00:52.000 --> 00:00:55.750
about the golf swing that's likely going to expose you to a lot of what your
20
00:00:55.750 --> 00:00:56.320
key areas
21
00:00:56.320 --> 00:00:58.680
are going to be, or what your keys will be.
22
00:00:58.680 --> 00:01:02.680
Now, instead of just doing it by kind of memorizing, "Hey, here's the takeaway,
23
00:01:02.680 --> 00:01:03.120
here's the back
24
00:01:03.120 --> 00:01:07.200
swing," we're going to look at it from more of a skill-based approach.
25
00:01:07.200 --> 00:01:11.620
So we're going to look at the requirements of what do I need the club to do and
26
00:01:11.620 --> 00:01:12.120
how can
27
00:01:12.120 --> 00:01:13.200
the body do it?
28
00:01:13.200 --> 00:01:17.540
And so oftentimes, this approach gets you to your solutions and helps you
29
00:01:17.540 --> 00:01:18.200
figure out
30
00:01:18.200 --> 00:01:21.880
your keys faster than if you were to just learn it sequentially.
31
00:01:21.880 --> 00:01:26.360
So the three big buckets are we want to hit the ball solid, we want to hit the
32
00:01:26.360 --> 00:01:27.480
ball straight,
33
00:01:27.480 --> 00:01:30.600
or at least control the curve, and we want to hit the ball far.
34
00:01:30.600 --> 00:01:35.020
Now, hitting the ball far could be how far can I hit it, you know, maximizing,
35
00:01:35.020 --> 00:01:35.520
or it could
36
00:01:35.520 --> 00:01:40.900
be related more to distance control and predicting how far I'm going to be able
37
00:01:40.900 --> 00:01:42.200
to hit it.
38
00:01:42.200 --> 00:01:47.700
But we can boil down solid contact to the swing arc and the bottom of the swing
39
00:01:47.700 --> 00:01:48.440
, which
40
00:01:48.440 --> 00:01:50.880
we call low point control.
41
00:01:50.880 --> 00:01:55.810
We can boil down hitting the ball straight to controlling the face and the path
42
00:01:55.810 --> 00:01:57.160
of relationship.
43
00:01:57.160 --> 00:02:03.710
We can boil down hitting the ball far to your sequencing, or your lag, or your
44
00:02:03.710 --> 00:02:04.720
shaft lean.
45
00:02:04.720 --> 00:02:07.000
But these three play off of each other.
46
00:02:07.000 --> 00:02:10.420
So we're going to go in this order because sometimes when you try to hit it
47
00:02:10.420 --> 00:02:11.160
straighter,
48
00:02:11.160 --> 00:02:12.240
you end up losing contact.
49
00:02:12.240 --> 00:02:16.240
So I want you to already know how to improve your contact.
50
00:02:16.240 --> 00:02:20.160
Or when you start trying to hit it further, it might start going offline, or
51
00:02:20.160 --> 00:02:20.760
you might
52
00:02:20.760 --> 00:02:21.760
lose contact.
53
00:02:21.760 --> 00:02:23.520
So I want you to have those skills first.
54
00:02:23.520 --> 00:02:26.400
Now because they play off of each other in this program, we're going to go
55
00:02:26.400 --> 00:02:27.400
through it
56
00:02:27.400 --> 00:02:28.400
in layers.
57
00:02:28.400 --> 00:02:31.880
So we're going to work on low point and then hitting the ball straight and then
58
00:02:31.880 --> 00:02:32.320
hitting
59
00:02:32.320 --> 00:02:33.880
the ball far.
60
00:02:33.880 --> 00:02:36.360
We're going to work on hitting different clubs.
61
00:02:36.360 --> 00:02:39.420
And then we're going to revisit it because once you understand the basics, it
62
00:02:39.420 --> 00:02:40.080
'll be easier
63
00:02:40.080 --> 00:02:42.240
to layer in a few more details.
64
00:02:42.240 --> 00:02:47.440
By doing this, I think you'll really kind of understand and own your own golf
65
00:02:47.440 --> 00:02:48.080
swing.
66
00:02:48.080 --> 00:02:52.960
That's why we call this the Build My Stock Tour Swing Program.
67
00:02:52.960 --> 00:02:58.720
But let's say you're working on low point control and you still even after you
68
00:02:58.720 --> 00:02:59.280
've gone
69
00:02:59.280 --> 00:03:04.200
through the program, you're having a few issues with maybe thin contact.
70
00:03:04.200 --> 00:03:09.900
Well now, while we have a lot of information in this program, it doesn't cover
71
00:03:09.900 --> 00:03:11.040
everything.
72
00:03:11.040 --> 00:03:15.380
So once you've gone through this program once, then all the other videos on the
73
00:03:15.380 --> 00:03:15.880
site will
74
00:03:15.880 --> 00:03:17.080
make more sense.
75
00:03:17.080 --> 00:03:20.120
You'll see how the videos might help you hit the ball more solid.
76
00:03:20.120 --> 00:03:22.280
They might help you hit the ball more straight.
77
00:03:22.280 --> 00:03:26.700
They might help you solve that one issue that's causing you to have the
78
00:03:26.700 --> 00:03:27.880
annoying problem
79
00:03:27.880 --> 00:03:29.360
that you're trying to get rid of.
80
00:03:29.360 --> 00:03:31.000
So work through this program.
81
00:03:31.000 --> 00:03:35.210
You'll understand all the big buckets and you'll be that much closer to
82
00:03:35.210 --> 00:03:35.920
becoming your
83
00:03:35.920 --> 00:03:40.960
own coach once you understand your few swing keys and you learn to really own
84
00:03:40.960 --> 00:03:41.560
them and
85
00:03:41.560 --> 00:03:45.000
learn how to practice training them effectively.
86
00:03:45.000 --> 00:03:48.680
So while we're going through this program, keep this framework in mind as you
87
00:03:48.680 --> 00:03:49.220
're going
88
00:03:49.220 --> 00:03:51.160
through the big pieces.
89
00:03:51.160 --> 00:03:55.670
If you recognize that one area is just super important for you, make a mental
90
00:03:55.670 --> 00:03:56.440
note of it
91
00:03:56.440 --> 00:04:00.680
and when you're done with the program, if you haven't had a complete mastery of
92
00:04:00.680 --> 00:04:01.040
it,
93
00:04:01.040 --> 00:04:03.800
then check out the videos on the site related to it.
94
00:04:03.800 --> 00:04:06.520
That's how you're ultimately going to become your own coach.
95
00:04:06.520 --> 00:04:08.160
So keep it up.
96
00:04:08.160 --> 00:04:09.640
Smart golfers are happy golfers.
