From face-on, watch how your pelvis shifts in the downswing.
Players like Rory McIlroy tend to shift earlier, then brace and elevate from a pelvis position that is more clearly behind the lead foot. Fowler’s motion is different. He has some early slide, but the pelvis continues traveling more across the body later into the downswing.
If you are trying to copy a player’s leg action, make sure you are not copying only the finish look. The question is not just whether your trail leg straightens. The question is how your pelvis got there and what that means for how you brace and rotate.
What to Work On
