1
00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:05.980
This drill is the screwdriver drill, or the TV remote screwdriver drill.
2
00:00:05.980 --> 00:00:12.850
So, if you remember from the concept video, during transition, during release,
3
00:00:12.850 --> 00:00:13.220
we want
4
00:00:13.220 --> 00:00:18.140
to make sure that we're squaring the club face by rotating the face around the
5
00:00:18.140 --> 00:00:18.500
axis
6
00:00:18.500 --> 00:00:25.760
of the shaft as opposed to squaring the face by moving the entire shaft.
7
00:00:25.760 --> 00:00:31.580
So, just as a quick little reminder, if I have my hands ahead and the club face
8
00:00:31.580 --> 00:00:32.360
is open like
9
00:00:32.360 --> 00:00:38.700
so, I can either square it by rotating the face just by turning the shaft or by
10
00:00:38.700 --> 00:00:40.120
moving
11
00:00:40.120 --> 00:00:43.320
the entire shaft behind like so.
12
00:00:43.320 --> 00:00:47.290
We would prefer doing it this way because that will allow us to have the bottom
13
00:00:47.290 --> 00:00:47.760
of the swing
14
00:00:47.760 --> 00:00:50.440
ahead of the golf ball and hit the ball solidly.
15
00:00:50.440 --> 00:00:55.500
So it's a weird move if you remember from the motorcycle drill, it's a weird
16
00:00:55.500 --> 00:00:56.100
move if
17
00:00:56.100 --> 00:00:57.560
you're not used to doing it.
18
00:00:57.560 --> 00:01:01.020
So, you want to get used to doing it with something that's very safe, different
19
00:01:01.020 --> 00:01:01.320
from
20
00:01:01.320 --> 00:01:02.320
the golf club.
21
00:01:02.320 --> 00:01:06.530
So, we're going to take the trusty TV remote or Sharpie, take your normal grip,
22
00:01:06.530 --> 00:01:06.960
and you're
23
00:01:06.960 --> 00:01:13.820
going to practice just flexing the left wrist and extending the right wrist
24
00:01:13.820 --> 00:01:14.880
like so.
25
00:01:14.880 --> 00:01:18.350
And then, if you get really brave, you can go from here and then you can put it
26
00:01:18.350 --> 00:01:18.800
in that
27
00:01:18.800 --> 00:01:19.800
delivery position.
28
00:01:19.800 --> 00:01:23.930
If you get even braver, you can go here, put it in delivery position, and then
29
00:01:23.930 --> 00:01:24.560
extend the
30
00:01:24.560 --> 00:01:28.280
arms trying to keep this left wrist bowed right wrist cup.
31
00:01:28.280 --> 00:01:32.550
This would be just after impact because my body would have the shift, the
32
00:01:32.550 --> 00:01:33.440
weight shift,
33
00:01:33.440 --> 00:01:35.600
the side bend and all the rotation that we talk about.
34
00:01:35.600 --> 00:01:43.160
So, it's a good thing to just practice letting these wrist work like so, which
35
00:01:43.160 --> 00:01:44.480
is left wrist
36
00:01:44.480 --> 00:01:48.620
that is flexing like this, and the right wrist is going to be extending for a
37
00:01:48.620 --> 00:01:49.320
right hand
38
00:01:49.320 --> 00:01:50.320
and golfer.
39
00:01:50.320 --> 00:01:54.220
Those combined do that movement, and that helps square the club face early so
40
00:01:54.220 --> 00:01:54.720
that you
41
00:01:54.720 --> 00:01:56.080
don't have to flip it at the bottom.

00:00:18.500 --> 00:00:25.760
of the shaft as opposed to squaring the face by moving the entire shaft.
7
00:00:25.760 --> 00:00:31.580
So, just as a quick little reminder, if I have my hands ahead and the club face

moving
11
00:00:40.120 --> 00:00:43.320
the entire shaft behind like so.
12
00:00:43.320 --> 00:00:47.290
We would prefer doing it this way because that will allow us to have the bottom
