Early Extension in backswing

Hi, I have some early extension in both the backswing and downswing. I'm able to maintain the "tush line" with something behind me, but without the crutch, I revert to old habits. Also, is my camera angle even correct for shooting pelvis movements, or should I move it to the right, behind the butt line (I'm a lefty). Thank you!

Hi Scott, Sorry for missing it the first time. It looks to me like the early extension is heavily influenced by your weight at set up. Check out these two pictures. It looks like with your set up, you're upper body is too much over your heels and your pelvis is a good bit behind your heels. So it doesn't really leave you anywhere to go backward. I think the early extension on the downswing is trying to reach a centered point of balance, but from a point where you are heel biased. If you look at your impact position compared to your feet, it doesn't look too far forward. So it looks like the real challenge will be learning to start more toward the ball of the foot and get to your same impact position, but starting from a more toe biased set up. I hope that helps provide some direction, Tyler
