Trail Arm Stuck Behind Video Followup

Hey Tyler, new member to the GSA here. I have a question after watching your video on Jim Furyk and how he manages to have a good impact even with the trail arm stuck behind in transition.
I'm in the same position where I have a tight trail shoulder that makes it very difficult to get the trail arm in front of the rib cage in the downswing. Is it better to work on spine tilt and rotation with a bent trail elbow or to physically work on loosening up the shoulder to make getting it in front of the body easier?

Hi Kyle,
Welcome to the site and program! Good question about your own game. In general, I don't see why you couldn't do both. Work on the body positions and lead arm work that you're physically able to do and then work on the shoulder in the gym or with your PT. PS - I often find that it's scapular control that holds people back more than external shoulder rotation. So make sure you focus on the scapular movements with your training. I'm hoping I'll have a fitness section at some point in the future, but so far golf content has taken all my time!
Happy golfing!
