Shot shape with driver

Hi, in order to raise my confidence with the driver. I did one of your shot shape drills on the range. As I play the driver with the ball forward in my stance. It feels natural to hit it with a swing direction that starts the ball 3-5m left of my stance (3-5 left offline measured on Toptracer). It sounds sensible as to my logic, with a positive angle of attack that I catch the ball when the club head is going left. Similar to your visualisations with the hula hoop. Are my assumptions correct? Just want to make sure that I dont have to make changes to my swing shape to get a more neutral swing direction.

+Rasmus W Your assumptions are correct. Some golfers use that pattern to play a fade. Others aim their stance a little more closed and play a draw with a closed face. In either case, the ball forward can help with the launch, but in doing so, you have to account for the slight path change.
