What does a monkey reveal about a natural grip?

Let's see you put on your thinking caps for this discussion.
What do you see in this picture? Specifically, why would he take that grip?

More monkey business from Tyler. In any case, it looks like a putting grip to me with the grip in the palms of both hands. So to me it is a grip that the monkey treats as natural only given a particular view about the swing he is matching it up to: this is not a natural grip if your intention is to have your hands work in concert along a path that is up back and in and around a body turn. It is a natural grip for a swing that wants to eliminate most hand action and which the path is low, short and basically driven by arms or shoulders; a swing more or less along the target line. So short answer: what's natural in a grip is not independent of what you are intending to do with the 'tool.'

I will add this though: with toes and feet like those, the monkey should have no trouble grabbing the ground

I’d say...from that setup, it doesn’t appear that there will be much body rotation. Rather his longest point will be at the ball vs in front of it and will probably be doing more internal rotation of the right arm. That grip should help square it with the most power for that setup.
