Water Bottle Transition - Feeling Arm Shallowing

This drill is a simple compliment to the delivery position drill. It's purpose is to help you feel the transition movements of the arms. While you can certainly get benefit from using the TV remote, using a water bottle will give you another level of feel with this drill.

00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:05,000
This drill video is the water bottle transition. Now I have to give credit to this drill.

00:00:05,000 --> 00:00:13,000
I saw it on TV with Michael Breed. Normally I think a lot of his stuff is kind of crazy,

00:00:13,000 --> 00:00:20,000
but I really like the kind of kinesthetic or the feeling awareness that this water bottle creates.

00:00:20,000 --> 00:00:25,000
So you're going to take a water bottle and just make sure it's at the most halfway full.

00:00:26,000 --> 00:00:32,000
Because what'll happen is if I hold this straight up and down, you can see all the water is collecting at the bottom of the water bottle.

00:00:32,000 --> 00:00:40,000
If I were to turn it horizontally, it would I can feel the pressure in my palm and it would basically evenly distribute throughout the body.

00:00:40,000 --> 00:00:46,000
If I rotate it as far as I can, it's actually a little bit more towards the bottle aid.

00:00:46,000 --> 00:00:53,000
So as we're practicing this delivery position, you can use a water bottle instead of a remote control,

00:00:53,000 --> 00:01:00,000
which will give you this feeling and this little noise of almost like I was pouring water out the back this way.

00:01:00,000 --> 00:01:02,000
Now this looks very crazy, right?

00:01:02,000 --> 00:01:05,000
As a lot of for our rotation.

00:01:05,000 --> 00:01:10,000
Well, if I did it this way, yeah, that looks like I rotate my forearms a lot, right?

00:01:10,000 --> 00:01:17,000
Well, if I get down into golf posture and then rotate my body, it's no longer looks that crazy.

00:01:17,000 --> 00:01:24,000
This actually looks like someone like Sergio Garcia or Graham McDowell or Jason Duffner.

00:01:24,000 --> 00:01:29,000
It's starting to look like this delivery position that most of these good ball strikers are getting into.

00:01:29,000 --> 00:01:43,000
So you can practice it just doing the delivery position drill or you can practice going to the top of your swing and then trying to feel like that water bottle pours out the back side as you're doing that left side then.

00:01:43,000 --> 00:01:47,000
So it kind of be like I'm pouring water over my forearm this way.

00:01:47,000 --> 00:01:56,000
And it gives you a great feeling of these forearms rotating, which will allow you to steepen with the body, which prepares you for the release.

00:01:56,000 --> 00:01:58,000
Pretty much in the best way we can create.

00:01:58,000 --> 00:02:06,000
So get a water bottle, fill it up halfway with water, and it'll help you get the feeling of what it's like to let these forearms rotate.

00:02:06,000 --> 00:02:10,000
And as you get into a good delivery position during transition.
