One Target All Clubs

One target all clubs is a game where you can practice hitting different shots to the same target with each club. When you are forced to hit less than full swings, it challenges your ability to recruit each part of your body in the same relationship to each other. If your power source distribution get's off, you will have trouble making as solid contact.

00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:04,000
This range game is one target all clubs.

00:00:04,000 --> 00:00:09,000
So essentially for this game, I'm going to use the one target.

00:00:09,000 --> 00:00:11,000
So I'm going to pick this yardage flag.

00:00:11,000 --> 00:00:13,000
That's about 100 yards away.

00:00:13,000 --> 00:00:16,000
Now, you basically have to pick one that's relatively close

00:00:16,000 --> 00:00:19,000
because hitting a target that's a 200 yards away

00:00:19,000 --> 00:00:21,000
with your pitching wedge just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

00:00:21,000 --> 00:00:27,000
So I've got this target that's about 100 to say 125, 150 at the upper limit

00:00:27,000 --> 00:00:32,000
and I'm going to go through different clubs trying to hit them all to the same target.

00:00:32,000 --> 00:00:35,000
So first one I'm going to use a pitching wedge.

00:00:38,000 --> 00:00:42,000
Got to take a little bit off of it because it's probably more of a gap wedge distance

00:00:42,000 --> 00:00:45,000
and I didn't take enough I hit that over the green.

00:00:45,000 --> 00:00:51,000
So for purpose of this video I'll speed up and I'll basically jump every other club or so.

00:00:51,000 --> 00:00:53,000
So this is going to be eight iron.

00:00:54,000 --> 00:00:57,000
So now eight iron normally about 160.

00:00:57,000 --> 00:01:01,000
So I've got to take off, fair amount.

00:01:01,000 --> 00:01:02,000
That wasn't very good.

00:01:02,000 --> 00:01:07,000
Hit the right side of the green but it wasn't the ball flight I was really hoping for.

00:01:07,000 --> 00:01:10,000
To speed this up I'm just going to jump to four iron.

00:01:10,000 --> 00:01:13,000
So four iron is going to be really tricky.

00:01:13,000 --> 00:01:17,000
It's almost like a little chip shot pitch shot.

00:01:18,000 --> 00:01:20,000
Got to land short.

00:01:20,000 --> 00:01:23,000
Unfortunately I landed on the green so now it's going to roll over.

00:01:23,000 --> 00:01:27,000
But now we're going to get into a little bit of the tricky so.

00:01:27,000 --> 00:01:29,000
Pull up the hybrid.

00:01:29,000 --> 00:01:34,000
We're going to do everything but the driver in this particular version.

00:01:34,000 --> 00:01:41,000
So I'm still working on whatever technique I may be working on but I'm trying to expand it to a little bit of shot shaping.

00:01:41,000 --> 00:01:50,000
And again that landed at the hundred yards and kind of rolled past.

00:01:50,000 --> 00:01:52,000
So now we're going to go to three wood.

00:01:52,000 --> 00:01:59,000
This is going to be tricky because this range has kind of some thicker off before the green.

00:01:59,000 --> 00:02:04,000
So I've really got to be careful with this one.

00:02:04,000 --> 00:02:09,000
So probably be close to a nine to three style.

00:02:10,000 --> 00:02:13,000
So that landed short.

00:02:13,000 --> 00:02:15,000
Just rolled over.

00:02:15,000 --> 00:02:18,000
I guess the rough isn't quite as thick as I want.

00:02:18,000 --> 00:02:24,000
But this drill can help you with figuring out how to take half shots and how to kind of dial stuff in.

00:02:24,000 --> 00:02:31,000
Very often you will find that you will hit it more accurately with one club longer than what you would typically hit.

00:02:31,000 --> 00:02:35,000
So I a lot of tour pro's will hit a little bit less than a full shot.

00:02:35,000 --> 00:02:39,000
But this drill will kind of expose if that's the right method for you.
