Wet course - finesse wedges

Hi Tyler,
When the course is wet/muddy and you need at ball first contact around the green. What are some of the adjustment you would recommend for the 20-70yards shots. Ball back, grip down, early wrist set, weight forward, open stance?

Hi Rasmus,

I'd say yes to all those adjustments. They will all help move the low point forward and control depth. I don't often recommend getting more open since it causes a lot of golfers to they shallow out their body too much. But the rest of those are very common. In addition to using the wrists more vertically, I'll often suggest a little more arm lift or more of a left shoulder down key in the backswing.

The moves that tend to kill you off the wet grass are too much axis tilt, too much hang back, too much arms behind the body, and stalling the pivot at impact. Reverse those and you'll usually get a good pattern for that shot.
