Pitch Shot - Openface at address to offset shaft lean / deloft at impact?

For a pitch shot, do I open the club face at address to help add loft to offset the affect at impact of the shaft lean / delofting and closing / squaring the club face? I’ve attached a video of my trying to understand if this is correct.
In setup when I open the face and the leading edge is not square, at impact I am not trying to maintain the same loft or the not square leading edge, but with rotation and shaft lean the leading edge will square up (more), and the face will shut more decreasing impact loft compared to address. Is this correct thinking? Thanks!

Hi Matthew,
Face opening is a variable, so it's more of a comfort and performance decision. One of the things that I can't see in your clip is the vertical component of the shaft. That will influence how much the face will appear open vs square from the camera view you shared. I don't think your line of thought is too far off, but just trying to understand your idea better. Maybe post an actual pitch shot video and I can connect the dots.
