Trying to Shallow

Hi Tyler, Please review these swings I was doing my best to shallow the club during my transition. It just looks like I can’t turn and that I never feel like I can release the club with any power. Hope you can help.

Hi Tim, I'm just another member but hoping to help a bit.
As you change your pattern especially getting your hands to work differently and release differently, especially going from steep to shallow arms, I would expect for everything to feel powerless and weak. I believe this is why Tyler recommended starting with much smaller motions like delivery and go.
Separately it might be helpful to take a look at just the orientation of his body and compare with yourself in this video https://www.golfsmartacademy.com/golf-instruction/lead-arm-shallow/?q=steep%20body%20shallow%20club.
Worth noting that there are body/pivot shallowing/steepening moves that match up with arm steepening/shallowing moves to equal out to your swing plane.
Note that from FO his shoulders are still level this point where as your trail shoulder is very low. Also note how hit club shaft is a big more left, almost at his forearm where yours in more across your shoulder.

Hi Tim,
Joey added some good points. One other reason that I like to work on smaller swings is that the release and the transition are directly connected. Oftentimes, I get a better shallow, or make the swing more receptive to a better shallow, by working on follow through position first.
If you get stuck working on transition, and it's not working right, then I often push pause and work on the follow through. I think that might be a good experiment in this case. I'd say do some 9 to 3, but your goal is to progress to the "hit hard, stop short" drill.

Good luck and happy golfing!
