Driver lead arm working vertically

In a driver video, it was mentioned that the lead arm works more vertically than an iron through release. What is the sequencing/timing for this vertical movement and how is this vertical movement biomechanically accomplished?

Hi Eric, Because of the greater axis tilt and more trail arm flex, for some golfers, the lead arm will feel a little more vertical or higher than the iron. If you look at your swing from the DTL view and you can't see any of your lead arm at impact, or the trail arm is higher than your lead, then you would likely benefit from feeling a more vertical arm angle. So the feeling is directly connected to the body position. I hope that helps, if you're unsure if you need that feel, post a DTL video and we can evaluate. Happy Golfing, Tyler
