Too Much Up and Down

Hi everyone. New member. I am posting my 7 iron swing taken on March 1st before discovering this forum. As can be seen in the DTL view, start raising up at about left arm parallel leading to over swing and drop down a lot in the downswing to compensate. In the FO view, I do not do it as much. Can't seem to correct this move consistently. I'm looking for suggestions for which drills to focus on. Very impressed with the content. Thanks.

+Thomas B Here are a couple drills to help you work on your hip hinge/spine angle https://golfsmartacademy.com/golf-instruction/finding-your-hips/ https://golfsmartacademy.com/golf-instruction/posture-with-a-tail/

+Tyler F Thanks, Tyler, that makes a lot of sense. That probably makes it harder for me to get enough left side bend which I get when practicing in the mirror but not in actual swings. After I posted I reviewed all of the "Stop Standing Up" videos and discovered several points that helped, but not the hips, which I thought I was bending correctly. I am impressed with your way of breaking the swing down. I find particularly useful the videos showing the 45 degree hip move in the transition and the movement of the right arm in both directions. I will wok on the drills and re-post my swing. Tom

+Thomas B Tyler here are a couple of swings after working on the posture drills you gave me. I'm also trying to incorporate the wipe because I am a flipper. Still standing up a little on the backswing, but I took some solace after watching your analysis of Jack Nicklaus' swing at 80 where he does too. I'm only 70! Am I headed in the right direction? Tom

+Thomas B Looking better on the posture, keep an eye out for the clubface. Here's the release drill I mentioned. https://golfsmartacademy.com/golf-instruction/swing-extender-shaft-rotation/
